Speedometer Restoration -- Pete Serio Status?

A friend of mine sent his '68 Firebird IP gauges to Pete Serio for restoration/calibration fall.  I also had Pete do some work for me about 2 years ago.  The last time my friend heard from Pete was this past June.  Since then, there has been no response to emails or anyone answering the phone.  Does anyone know if anything has happened to Pete?
