Welcome to the site, jeff! With a 04C build date, your VIN should be somewhere in the 124379N634XXX range.

The VIN number is very close to the one listed.I don't have any recent pics as the car has been apart since the late eighties after some piston slap noises. Hoping to get it back on the road to enjoy with the family. Thanks for all of the great information fellas!!!

Looks to be an old WI license plate.

Grew up on the S Side of Milwaukee, still live nearby. There were plenty of Z/28s, Yenkos, pace cars in town. By 1981 I had owned 3 Z/28s (one JL8) and a Z11. Several friends still have Camaros they bought in the '70s & '80s. Back in the day, Dale Chev in Waukesha had dozens of Z/28s in stock. They also sold 6 L72 COPOs and a ZL-1.

Yunker (Oconomowoc) Hult's (Madison) were Yenko franchisees. A few years ago a '69 Yenko 427 Nova was found in the area.

I'm sure a few of them are buried in garages, waiting to be found.
