Does the edge of the upper rear deluxe panel wrap around the pinch weld in the door jamb with the trim pushed over it LIKE the std interior rear panels?

OR is it supposed to be wrapped around the panel and glued down?

Reason I ask is the repro Al Knoch rear panels have the vinyl wrapped around the edge and glued down,v not loose to fit around the pinchweld.

firstgenaddict,

The vinyl material on my deluxe rear panel does wrap around the pinch weld and held in place with the wind lace.  I don't recall, but I don't think I glued the material to the pitch weld.  Best to do this work when the vinyl material is warm.

I kept thinking that every car I have done I had wrapped it around the pinchweld and glued it down, however I have only used original interior in every car I have previously restored.  The fact that it was glued down to the rear of the repro panel is really what had me questioning my recollection.
I guess big dif is repro door panels as this is the first set of repro door panels I have installed.
