Radio capacitor 1964086

I've seen 1964086 radio capacitor with a red cap & a black cap. Which is correct for the 1st gen cars...Thank you, Joe

From the 68 AIM, that's the one used on the voltage regulator. I'll look at mine tomorrow as I'm pretty sure it's original.

I wouldn't be surprised if either or both color caps are correct ...

 My unrestored 04B 67 LOS has the original cap and it is red with the faint crosshatch texture.
When I restored my other 67 I bought a one from LI Corvettes and that is red with the cross hatch pattern.

Red here as well. Coil capacitor is red too. Both are believed to be original.  I added an NOS unit for the heater motor and it's black.
