AC43 Original vs. AC43 reproduction

Recently I purchased a set of the AC43 reproduction spark plugs for $59.95 to compare to originals. I must say after installation one would have a difficult time knowing original or repro, as the differences are in the spring washer and script & knurl on the lower barrel of the spark plug. Script on the originals is "AC SPARK PLUG FLINT MICH MADE IN U.S.A." Repro plug on right side!

Look pretty good - I didn't realize somebody was reproducing them.

Besides the barrel knurling and washer, there's another hidden difference in the electrode tip (fluted). I'd be proud to use these - who's offering them ?

Great information Chick. Thanks for posting it. I've recently looked at purchasing original AC 43's and will use the info to either do so or to purchase the reproductions.
