How hard are they to change and what should a first timer look out for. I have read a few magazines and my restoration guide makes it look so simple. You guys have already been a great help

I thought it was easy, but mine weren't rusty.  People say to spray penetrating oil on the bolts and let it set a while first.  I loosened both sides but only took the bolts out of one side and pried the subframe apart far enough to get bushings out and put new ones in, put the bolts in that side and did the other.

thats what im hoping. i read a few past posts about it. the rubber is really bad and all most missing on the back two but the frame and bolts look really good.

Above link from CRG forum recently discussed this as well.

Good luck.

Use a 2x4 and a floor jack. Just do one side at a time. You only need to lift the body enough to remove the bushings. Not very hard if rust is  not a problem.

take a walk thru my photos of my bushing project. Im VERY lucky they all unbolted after several days of penetrating oil squirted on them and soaking, PB Blaster is very good stuff.

has anyone used the enery suspension kits on their? i was wondering because the bolts that come with it are grade 5 and im sure they are suppose to be grade 8, right?

When I replaced my front bushings I put large metal washers the diameter of the frame ta b between the frame and bushing on a friends advice because it's a common place for the frame tabs to rust and cause the body to sag. I welded them in place because mine had already begun to rust but I don't think that it necessarily needs to be welded.
