I'm working on my basket case. (68 Camaro deluxe interior) I'm installing the inside door pulls, the spring and cover below were with the assemblies. The body manual show standard doors and there are no springs shown. Any body know where they go??? Thanks

I hope the pic is there

Nope not seat spring. Looking through my parts book I've found that they are used with deluxe interior door handles to keep tension on them. Now I have to figure out where and how they attach. Thanks for the reply.

There's a small hole in the door remote next to where the linkage hooks to. Attach it there & then it goes back to a hole in the door by the big opening. The hole is about 3/8 or 7/16. The spring will be inside the door when done...Joe

Hi Joe,

That's where I put it figured if it was wrong I'd change it. Doesn't seem to do much, but a GM design engineer put there, so who am I to argue.

I guess I can hi-jack my own thread. I put the roof rail weatherstripping in today, seem to fit snug. I debated using adhesive, but didn't. Would you recommend using adhesive?  Thanks Paul

For 67 model year deluxe door handles have their own spring on the mechanism. Just FYI

Use some 3M black weatherstrip adhesive.  They do not stay in place over time unless you glue them in my experience.

Ok, that's what I'll do. Thank you
