I did a search couldn't find any info, so I'm asking. I'm putting my doors together(bare shells now) the car is a RS had reveal molding originally, had the doors re-skinned. I can find info on when the moldings are put on. I took a old scrap door apart and had to remove the glass to get to the center screws holding the reveal molding on. Does the molding go on before the glass. Thanks

They can be installed with the glass all the way in the down position. The information on their removal and installation is in the FISHER BODY BOOK not the Chevrolet Assembly Manual...
How is the car coming?
There is someone over on the YENKO board searching for a 68 M11 shifter and cover assembly... I have never seen another besides the one in my old 68 RS/SS L35 in my entire life.

I recently saw a 68 Bright Blue Deluxe Bench seat in a photo.

I'll have to get the Fisher manual.  As to how the car is going, the story could fill this page, lets just say slow. I had the metal work and paint done, some things were over looked so I'm revisiting them. I'm moving away from the 1000 point restoration towards a day 2 car. It will still look original, but I stroked the motor to 431ci.(scat 4" stroke crank and .050 over bore) added intake and headers and power steering. I look for that shifter occasionally, I saw the shifter on ebay recently, but have never seen another bezel. Thanks for the reply James how all is well in the Carolina's.

I read somewhere that most basket cases are complete by the 5th or 6th owner. I'm determined to be the exception.

Well it was about 1987 or so when I was the 2nd or 3rd owner after it was disassembled...

Everything is well...
I found a 69 COPO 9561 at a local cars and coffee, guy had no idea what it was, he bought it as a non numbers big block camaro. Turned out when we put it on a lift the 427 was still scribbled in the fender extensions. He had McNeish certify the car then sold it to a guy in Texas to restore it... and since then the engine was found in Ohio.
