Is the back-up light switch on a 69 Camaro 4 speed column retained by 2 screws or snapped in the 2 slots on lower column?

The switch has two tabs that ride in the slots two adjust the switch on when the column is in the reverse position (as activated by the reverse lockout rod).
There should be two holes where the captive screws attach the switch to the column, these are just holes in the plastic guide.
