Starter solenoid lever -- retaining pin, or bolt ??

On the pin (or bolt) that holds the solenoid lever in the drive end of the starter, does anyone know when Delco Remy switched from using a bolt (with a lock washer and thin jamb nut) to using a pin (with a small retaining clip)?

I have verified that 1965 big block starters used the bolt and not the pin.  But I need to know for a 67 (May of 67 dated starter).   I have seen 67 big block starters both ways.  The 67 Chevrolet Chassis Overhaul Manual references a bolt and nut in the disassembly / assembly instructions.  But I suppose that could have been a failure to update the manual after changing to the pin, if a pin is in fact correct.

Any help would be appreciated!

If you're talking about #2,3 and 4.  #2 says shift lever bolt and #3 says lock washer and nut.  #4 says pin.  This is the 68 Overhaul book.

Thanks.  I did also verify on several original late 67 cars that the bolt, lock washer, and thin nut are correct.
