The only things that bother me are the absolutely crisp spot weld(s?) on the reinforcement cup (at least it has one, early repros don't), and the really crisp part number stamping. Could be completely legit, but my original looks shabby beside it.

If it's a repro, it's an awfully good one - just my opinion.

Here's a pic of the pulley that's on my Z now. Apparently the original one was replaced and this is the service replacement. From what I understand, this is the pulley that was original on big block hi-perf setups, and is now in demand and hard to find.

Well, one thing is for certain.  If it is a repop you will know it immediatly upon starting the car.   They are not true; not even close.

I don't believe that's always the case.  I run a complete set of repop pulleys on mine and they run perfectly.  It's probably more of a case of where you buy them or who is supplying. Or maybe it's a case of a noted problem in the past that has since been corrected?

It's been mentioned here in previous discussions that some of the repop pulleys are done very well now as far as appearance goes and most "experts" have a hard time differentiating them from the OEM parts.   Even the stamps and fonts look decent.

Could be all of the above.   Just know the repop set I  had for an extra 302 were all crap.  Perhaps there is a different supplier now.
