I stopped by my mothers last night to help her with some organization of her kitchen after a remodel.  Found these that I had forgotten about and brought them home.  The green car was done by a family friend for my father.  The white 67 was done by my father back in the early 70s.

Very cool. I just picked up a 69 Rs z with a crossram at hobby lobby. They even had daytona yellow and hugger orange in cans

55 Chevy I built back in '13.  Tried to make it look like a barn find that someone upgraded the brakes and wheels..  Its amazing what some of the guys can do with models..  I know there was one guy here that posts on occasion that does Trans Am models and I cant hold a candle to him and others Ive seen..  Still fun to build them..  Maybe others will post up models they have built.

These I can deal with. At least there are no counterfeit trim tags to worry about  ;)

Here is one I built around 1972 or 1973. Right front wheel fell off when I moved it!  Also a few other parts are missing, sadly.  I should try to find this kit and do another one.  Back then it wasn't unusual for dad and one of his buddies to run a Ford and a Chevy on the same dirt track the same night, in different classes.

All my models are long gone. Model building was sort of a precursor to a hobby we'd enjoy later in life. I was into drag cars. Funny I remember, but my favorites where a straight axel 56 and a BBC Fiat. Always and will forever dig those Gassers! ( Used to trade parts with a buddy, slicks, engines Lol) Trim and fit.

Very cool you guys were into that.  That's all I did as a kid, and my father too.  I have models here dating back into the early to mid 60's, a few may be as old as the 1950's.  It was a passion I picked up from my father, used to enter model building contests and have several trophies.

Bill, I bought that same 69 RS Z I bought from Hobby Lobby and my son built it a couple years ago.

I very carefully boxed up all mine and my fathers and stashed them away years ago, they fill half the shed.  I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than 100 of them.
