How far did Fisher go with the convertible power top install

Hello group,

Maybe John or William may know the answer? I have read the Camaro Assembly Process and was curious about the convertible power top description in the Fisher Body -Trim Shop Operation section: ".....Convertible windshield frame trim moldings and latch hardware were installed, along with the power top mechanism, plumbing, and wiring. "
Did this include bleeding the hydraulics (when this option was ordered)? Did the "wiring" include up to the circuit breaker on the firewall?

Thank You,
Mike

Fisher Body installed the entire system, bled and tested it, and left the wires for the up-down switch and the power feed wire for the circuit breaker taped-up under the dash; the up-down switch and circuit breaker were installed later by Chevrolet, as shown in the Assembly Manual in section C06, sheet A1.

Hi John,

That clears it up. The topic came up with a discussion I had with a friend who was curious about how the cars were built and he asked that question about convertibles. He didn't know there were two parties (Fisher & Chevy) involved in building a Camaro.

Thank you very much,
Mike
