Since I have finished the car I havent driven it but maybe 5 times and I am starting to consider if I should sale the car..  I havent fully made up my mind yet but I am curious what people think the cars value would be..  No bs be honest.  You wont piss me off..   ;)

You can look through my build thread here and it was Ride of  the Month this past August on Team Camaro.  Also I have only entered it into one local car show and it brought home 1st.

Thanks guys.

Couple of questions.

Have you had opportunities to drive it, and drove one of your other Camaros instead?
Do you enjoy driving your other cars more?

Whats it worth? My guess would be about 25k

Ditch the traction bars put the stock rally wheels and caps with redline tires, and throw a black radiator in it (or paint the aluminum black  :o )
and then I would say 30K or more.
It may get 30k as it sits, it only takes 1 guy to want it exactly that way, BUT it will just speak to more people looking stock.
(even if you put the stock wheels and tires on it, you could always post a pic of it with the torq thrusts in the sale ad just so guys can imagine how a day 2 car would look)
Thats my 2 cents

I cannot appraise the value, because I have not seen in person other com parables except in online sales, which we all know these cars can be less than desirable  because of inaccuracies and shoddy work. I do, though, have a Minor in Marketing and have a firm grasp of the Target Audience you would/should market to. Austin touched on this with his comments, prompting my reply.
I see many cars advertised as "Clones"(mostly COPO 69s) on eBay. Further examining always seems to find egregious errors, if replicating a certain model is/was the desire.
I would market the car as an exact Day 2 replica. After pointing out some things that show your passion for detail, then, you can justify a price based on that detail and with quality above the "has beens"out there. I am sure someone will see and understand and it will be just what they want and can afford. You want that potential buyer to quickly weed out other cars and lock in on yours. Clones are accepted today, only if done right, and yours is, A lot of guys it does not bother that it does not have a pedigree. They just want one that looks like the real one they cannot afford. Hope this helps my Friend.B.

Maybe I should have called it a "Day 2" tribute..  Thanks for the responses.  Keep them coming.!!.

I'm assuming 4 spd? I'd be thinking 30k at least. I also think BULLITT65's ideas are sound, especially if maybe you try it as is, and then if you don't seem to get the response you are looking for, then a minor make over. A couple of approaches, anyway.

Another thought. I used to work at a car wash, and from time to time the owner of the car wash would sort of consign a car for someone out in front of the place. All customers would see it, as well as cars passing by. Anyway, we sometimes used to laugh at his asking prices as they always seemed way high to us (his teenage work force), but I saw many of these cars sell. The key was, the owner was patient and would wait for the right buyer. Sometimes it took a while, but eventually he always seemed to get what he wanted. So it can pay to be patient. If something doesn't happen immediately, try not to get discouraged.

I wouldn't change anything on the car at this point.

Start at $30k and see what happens. Unless you feel the car is worth more.

Remind me what this car had originally for drivetrain please.

That is not day 2 correct. Those new Torq Thrust do not look like vintage ones, which I have and prefer. I dumped my rally wheels because I'm sick of them and just about everyone runs them. Your offset looks uncomfortable on the front and try blackwalls out. Paint the traction bars original yellow and put original Traction Action decals on them. It's a clean car, 25-30K depending on the buyer. You could drive that to a dealer here and it would be snapped up. You'd do well and he'd just flip it. Or just hold out until you maximize your price. Unfortunately it is not real which will not bother many. 25-30 can buy a musclecar.

Does that BB run cool with that fan setup? Many buyers will not care about some things like the aluminum radiator because they are checkbook owners and don't know much about cars.

I thought white letters out on performance tires was a day 2 thing? But after looking at some pics, it appears more of a mid to late 70's thing. I see many more pics with the blackwalls out.
