Fake or real DZ stamp and partial Vin ?

I read recently that the vette guys are at least 10 years ahead of any other marque on being able to identify fake tags and stampings.

only ten years! So how many years or fake stamps have to take place before they are willing to adopt us Camaro owners to certify for us???

I have also heard that someone in OH has a REAL BROACH as big as a locomotive is how the guy I talked to put it.
He was asking me about having a block done, I told him there is no way they are going to be able to get the broach to make the same tooling marks as originals... machines scraping metal away wear and the wearing will happen consistently, the broach marks from one month to the next will progressively change, approximating the change will be NEAR impossible given the number of legitimate broach photos on file with people who check and certify high end cars.

.. and yet .. there are MORE faked Corvettes.. and restamped engines in Corvettes..  than all other marques combined.. 

NCRS judging goes back a long way (to the 70's), but the old National Nomad Club (NNC) had the earliest most stringest judging of all; in fact, I think the NCRS judging was modeled after it, although today obviously the NCRS has by far the best documented judging process anywhere I've seen...

As long as matching numbers and rare options can double the value of a car, be it a Camaro,corvette, or other the fakes will continue. As Dana M said at one of his actions, only the cars with doc,s are bringing real money.
