I'd bet big $$ there's nothing fake about this one.. :)   if any of you are needing a Z28 distributor (Jan '69 date)

NO..  this is NOT my distributor, nor do I have any knowledge of it or the owner other than what is posted...

68Z, so in the past this guy was selling restamps?

I'm not the best judge, but I think that was the general opinion and I'm just real skeptical about one person having so many rare distributors.

So are there other distributors with identical part no.s except the last digit? Or 2 digits? So only 2 characters would have to be altered to mislead?

Yes, there are...   but I don't think the distributor I referenced on ebay was modified, and I also don't *think* the seller (vintagesouth) is the same seller that was discussed previously?   or am I wrong again? :)

Well, in that case...  I'd be more concerned...   It DOES look/appear to be a very original distributor, but given those additional facts, you can be sure that the price will be sky high ....

Watched this vendor for a long time - he has sold a mix of good and questionable parts over the years. One thing I have always noticed is the lack of VIN numbers or pictures of the VIN's on a lot of his very expensive DZ stamped blocks. I'd be careful -

seems like a lot of orange paint on that distributor for an engine with an aluminum intake

Stingr69

I would not get too hung up on the orange paint.  You see incidental overspray on lots of original parts and some of that paint might actually be original.  Lots of stuff happens to all parts over the course of 45 years.  JMO.

Too rich for my wallet and too nice for my car but....That IS a nice looking distributor.  :)
