vin code 3rd digit

Whats the full series?  13677 is a 67 Chevelle Malibu VIN, hard to tell without knowing all the numbers.  Also we're talking about he actual VIN on the A pillar infront of the drivers side door, not the numbers on the cowl tag under the hood correct?

You're looking at the cowl tag, not the VIN tag; the VIN tag is in the driver's side door opening, on the hinge pillar.
