Reported VIN 124379N529625

From the description:

Real X33 Trim Tag Z28, Daytona Yellow, Frame-Off

N529625 was final assembled on or about October 24, 1968. Body tag is dated 06A, covering the entire month of June 1969. The top of the dash has been replaced, breeching the factory VIN tag installation.

One or both tags are not original to the car; hidden VINs may not match.

Thoughts about cost of putting this car back to original configuration?  Especially if some of the removed parts are gone.  Listing shows all the modifications done to this original drive train car.  I get that you do what you want to what belongs to you, but it seems the owner would have been better served by purchasing a clone or other non original car.

How does one track down an owner of such a vehicle from that time, or original owner that ordered if can be done?

Difficult to do these days because of privacy laws.

I saw a thread somewhere about a guy rebuilding them, but it was not cheap. The aftermarket units will get the job done, but there are cosmetic differences.
