I found this picture online awhile back and snapped a picture of it on my phone for reference. I will refer back to this pic when my tail panel is painted. Of course that will be a long way away. The picture said 1st SS396. I don't remember what site it was. I will have to look again but I do remember this SS396 was shown with other Camaros.

When I bought my 69 the pulley was not attached to it. It has the factory hood latch. Interesting thought though.

Has anybody ever seen this before?  I have a pulley attached to my LH fender well. Any ideas what it was used for? Of course I know the factory didn't put it there I am just curious if anyone has seen pulleys in an engine bay before.

Awesome find and awesome car. I love the torque thrust wheels. I plan on using those wheels on mine.

Would it be possible to say the rear axle in my Camaro is original? My car was built 03B. Axle date is B289 which would be Feb 28th and the code has 0313 March 13th.

Kurt I have 2 fuel lines. That would be a 325 or 350 horse originally I think. Is that correct? I will get pics of the rear axle this weekend and I will try to figure out how to send a PM with my email. Thanks

Bentley my VIN is posted on this section titled database addition. I hesitated for a long time not wanting to post anything online but I came around. I don't know what this car's history is because when I bought it I didn't care about previous ownership. I need to start digging to see if I can find any past owners.

I should've bought more too. I know what you mean. I would like to see a picture of your 68Z and 69SS396. I bought a 1968 a couple of years after buying my 69. I wanted to buy a 67 to have one of all 3 years but never did and my 68 I sold many years ago.

Olympic Gold originally. I bought it light blue. I have found evidence of dark blue, yellow, maroon, green and possibly a different shade of gold.
