Two questions:  Did any '69 Camaro ever come from the factory with Rally (hood/decklid) stripes that was not a Z28 or Pacecar? Was it even an option for any of the other ones, for example an RS Camaro?  Secondly, is the striping in the attached photo a factory striping for any 69 Camaro?  This one was an early build. Thanks!

Here is one pic.  Seller stated only carb, alternator and battery were changed.  I'll find another and post soon.

I'm seeing more and more "original, survivor, unmolested, unrestored" '69 Camaros for sale with pictures of the engine bay showing red heater hoses.  I've never seen a restored one with them. Did they ever come with red heater hoses from the factory?

This car has the stock pwr front disc brakes and the original 4346 Holley carb.  I try not to downshift a lot but do a little now and then. This problem may be a moot point now that I've sent it off to be rebuilt. I expect it back in a week or two and will update you all on how it works. Thanks!

Could someone help me with choosing new shocks for my '69 L78?  Are there such things as "NOS" shocks and if so, where can I shop for a good deal?  What should I expect to pay? If not, what's the recommendation?

Thanks, Mark. I decided not to use the Redline.  I just ordered Stalube API GL4 85W90 and am waiting for it to come in.  I'll let  you all know how it works out.

So by "any...gear lube", I should take that to mean synthetic is OK?

John, the stuff I ordered, Red Line MT-90SAE 75W90 API GL-4 Gear Oil, is synthetic.  I haven't poured it in yet.  Some say don't use synthetics, others say it's fine.  What's your opinion?  If you do not recommend it, then what would you recommend and where can I get it?  Thanks!

It can be extremely hard to find.  I've seen mine several times before and I still have a very hard time seeing it whenever I go to find it, even though I know where it is .

Just ordered 2 quarts of Redline MT 90 75W90 GL-4 fluid.  Hope that was the right stuff. I'm going to drain what's left of the old stuff out 1st. Thanks guys!

Thanks, guys.  I put my finger in as far as it will go and didn't feel any fluid level.  It looks like I'll need to add some.  Any suggestions for any specific brands or grades of fluid?
