I am talking about a ss rim I painted the front silver and dark grey and the rear grey but looking at the inside part of the rim it looks to be a sand stone color. I am wondering if they just painted the face of the front and did nothing with the back side if that is what they did the back should be sand stone color

Originality / early 69 Camaro ss rim finish

I imagine the front should be like a Chevelle silver and dark grey but the inside of the rim when the tire is off is a sand stone color. My question is I always thought the back side of a SS rim should be grey. Should the back side be the same color as the inside of the rim.

I do see a little difference in the pattern but  first picture original second legendary. The Legendary do look a little puffier in the ribs

I bought rear seat from legendary they are very close compared to the old factory covers. The buckets seats in the car are out of my coupe and can not believe the difference. I thought I could just change the rear seat and put in the comfort weave from my coupe but not even close. I ordered front covers from Legendary today.

I was tired of looking at the wrong interior in my convertible especially since houndstooth was never available in a conv (except the pace car). My car according to the trim tag  came with black comfort weave when new. When recovering the seats we found the last person who recovered it put the covers over the original seats. It was hard to believe since the covers we took off fit real nice . What a difference how much nicer it looks with the new covers

Originality / trunk lid id
November 07, 2017, 10:26:58 AM
This trunk lid has no tabs on the bottom side but has the date on the bottom support and no extra hole like a service replacement. Its very difficult to read the date code. Any one know what time frame it is from?

Decoding/Numbers / Muncie assy date versus vin
August 16, 2017, 09:37:15 PM
Working on a corvette that has a Muncie and a 12 bolt rear end. The Muncie build date is P9A but the vin number is a 672 number sure seems to far apart but definetly not a restamp. It also has a BV rear end.

Decoding/Numbers / Norwood body numbers
July 11, 2017, 06:34:15 PM
I was looking at two Norwood trim tags today both 11D 68 built cars the vin numbers were 500 apart but the body number were 8000 apart is that normal to be that far apart?

Did you pull the wire off the sending unit and ground it to see if gauge goes to full?

Does it overheat when idling or cruising.
