General Discussion / 1969 B.U. Rear End
November 19, 2013, 09:02:07 PM
I've been in the market for a late 1969 dated B.U. rear end for awhile now but havn't found one yet, I was wondering if any of the members here had any suggestions as to where to search for one. I have found early dated rear ends but no late dated ones, any help would be greatly appreciated.

General Discussion / 1969 z28 battery cables
November 04, 2012, 07:56:47 PM
I have a late model Z28 and recently checked my battery cables, the positive cable is marked 6297684AS Delco, the negative cable is marked 4SX-25 Delco, both cables are molded exactly the same with similar markings "( )" up by the terminal bolts. Bolt cables are worn the same and to my knowledge they are original. Does anyone know if that is the correct negative cable for my car?

General Discussion / 1969 Z28 Camaro
July 24, 2012, 09:02:21 PM
I recently came across a completely original 1969 Z28 Camaro for sale. This car retains all of its numbers matching drivetrain. The motor is out of the car and dissembled, its complete except for the 1111480 distributor, original radiator and smog pump pulley. All of the other drivetrain pieces have never been removed from the car, still has the original paint and some rust on the drivers quarter panel and drivers door. The car has 69000 miles on it and has been off the road since 1975. I'm wondering what the CRG members think this car is worth, I''m thinking of making an offer on the car.

What is the correct exhaust hanger setup on a 1969 Z28? Is it two long hangers on each side before the muffler and two rear tailpipe hangers that hold the tailpipes? I was told that my car also should have a hanger right behind the gas tank on the drivers side that would support the transverse muffler. Wouldn't that be a hanger for a single tailpipe setup?

General Discussion / 1969 camaro z28 muffler
May 06, 2012, 06:10:25 PM
My tailpipe came loose on my muffler. The weld broke where it exits the muffler and I don't know if it can be rewelded. How can I tell if the muffler on this car is original?

General Discussion / 1969 z28
April 18, 2012, 05:13:22 PM
Over the winter I replaced my heads with a set that was closer to my build date, that being said I had the top end of the motor apart and when I reassembled everything the engine now runs very lean, it burns my eyes terribly. Before I took anything apart the motor ran awesome. I'm stumped any help would be very much appreciated.

General Discussion / 1969 brakes
April 07, 2012, 03:04:53 PM
Over the winter I sent my power brake booster to Jerry MacNeish for replating, after I put the booster back on and bolted the master cylinder on I bled the master cylinder without any issues, bled both front calipers, bled one side of the rear with no problems and when I switched to the other side of the rear I coundn't hardly get anything to come out of the bleeder. I rechecked the master cylinder ( rear reservoir) and tried to rebleed it but hardly anything would come out. I can't figure out what is going on. Is the problem in the brake booster?

General Discussion / ignition timing
March 02, 2012, 03:15:37 PM
I'am installing the distributor on my 69 302 engine. When the motor is at tdc and the distributor rotor is pointed directly at the number 1 cylinder and I install the original cap, it puts my number 1 wire on the right side of my points door. How can I adjust the distributor so the number 1 wire lands to the left of the points door?
