Produce a picture and end the discussion I cannot believe you owned something 40 years with no picture. This thread has gone to long with no outside proof from you. Move on the car is beautiful in any color. Darrell

As Everett stated not by the VIN sounds like a nice car, good luck, starting off with an SS is always a good start. Darrell

On the outside it looks like a December build with a January Tag I don't know if that lines up in the 2 to 3 week category I just know it doesn't line up with what I am used to seeing. I guess I always thought the tag came before the serial number. JMO Darrell

General Discussion / Looking for a car in the database
December 24, 2012, 02:50:03 PM
I was wondering if the VIN 124379N631259 is in the database I am looking to purchase and I am looking for whatever I can find on the car as there is no documentation on it and the original motor is long gone. Thanks for your time on this, Darrell

General Discussion / Re: building a garage

4000 psi concrete would be the most appropriate for the floor slab, 3000 psi is plenty for the footings. Also make sure you use a high reach garage door where ever you are going to install a lift, also you will want to use a sideloader garage door opener so make sure the electrical is on the side that you want the opener. Insulate all you can afford it will be the cheapest part of your construction costs. Your plans look good, have fun with the construction. Darrell

I will let one of the older members chime in but to my knowledge the 10 bolt did not have the right side traction bar at least the L30 M20 that I owned that was all original did not. thanks Darrell

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Camaro Z28 Cowl Tag... Real?

Could it not still have been ordered with a rear antenae, therefore the rear spoiler would have been deleted but I do not know if the front spoiler would mean it still would have been a d80 designation? Just thinking outloud, thanks Darrell

I know that I have no vote because I am a newbie but number 12 looks clean and simple to me. White or blue is fine. thanks, Darrell

Thanks, I just was not sure of the stand alone w, and the s, if it tied into the 2 or not. You are correct I don't think they are faking capri cream power glide cowl tags, but you never know.  Darrell
