Yes John, but I think he´s talking about the crome ring, is it black or argent together with the crome?? I´ve just painted mine argent!  :-[
Here is the pic I referred to before:

Quote from: hgger69 on January 30, 2009, 04:28:39 PMAs i understand so a SS-car should have black grill mesh and black head lamp bezels, correct?!  :-\

That's correct (unless it's a black car - then it gets silver). If it has Z21 Style Trim, the bezels have a bright ring; if not, no bright ring.
Thanx John, just as I thought!
...but does anybody has any pics of this combo, I´ve never seen any!! Even in the pics of an "original" 69 in the beginning of this site you sometimes see a black SS-grille with argent bezelz.... ;)

OK? So you mean that the hook always is in the same place regardless of spare tire type?? I been told different, but I find you more trustworthy!  ;)

Regarding the coolant sticker, the Camaro now has it´s place in Sweden and we kinda have the same climate as in Canada so maybee it isn´t that wrong after all!  ;D

Thanx again Curt, I will try to get the right stickers now!  ;D

...but I think I must figure out what kinda spare tirel my car was ordered with??  ??? There are stickers how to inflate spare tire etc. isn´t it?!

Guess you´re right there, but I heard that the welded hook on the trunk floor differ in position if you had a inflatable or full size spare? And do you know any dimensions for the position of the hook?

Most likely it came with the standard full-size spare tire; all the vendors have the Jacking Instruction sticker that goes in the center of the deck lid.

Thank you John, you´re a gold mine regarding Camaro knowledge!  :D

The stickers I have in engine compartment in the pic above, are they correct forr an X44 with a 350??

The "Excellence" sticker is that the blue square shaped GM-decal sitting on the door?

Yes, I'm swamped (aka busy).

Most of these cars have been pretty loaded with options. Not sure if that was a local thing or GM deciding that's what they should build for the market.

The chrome is part of the style trim (RPO Z21) option in 68.
Yes, the wheels, hood, and high-back seats aren't original. :)

I sent you an email.  ;D

Spank you! :D
I´m at work right now but I´ll check the mail tonight!

Not sure what you are thinking of, but no. :)
I was thinking of all the materials you got here to decode cowl tags from cars built in Norwood etc!

Anyhow here are some pics and a little more information regarding this specific car.

It has a tiltable steering wheel, PS, PB and front disc brakes. It was originally white!
That´s  all I know for the moment!
Are the crome parts on top of the doors and back original on 68:s?? The hood and the wheels are not original I guess!?

I can send you a pm with a pic of the cowl tag if you want, don´t want it public!

Thanks!
I'd be curious what factory options he sees on the car, assuming it's somewhat original and not a drag car. :)

OK, I will check that!
..so you don´t have lika e "decoding key" for this Swiss cars then?
