General Discussion / Re: Website not secure

I don't see "not secure" on my desktop. But I cannot view the forums from my phones. Always get "error 403 forbidden".

Restoration / Re: Sub Frame Measurements

The measurement that is not included in the diagram is the floor to the top of the rear sub frame mount.  One would assume that they should be the same height across both subframe rails so that's why it is not needed in the diagram.
Just add to the 5-1/2" dimension on the frame sheet to find the dimension "not included". I was a frame tech for years and still have to be when restoring these cars. Last 67 I did was t-boned, bent and needed to be yanked. Any decent frame shop can straighten your subframe; but most collision shops do not want to bother with old cars that require basic common sense frame straightning techniques. It's not hard. Fix it at home...Block, tie down, jack, whatever it takes. This is why I tell people to put anchor pots in their shops when pouring a floor. They can be installed afterward also and come in handy for many tasks.

Or buy another subframe. There's 2 or 3 near me now.

Delfleet and the commercial line of PPG are quite durable. Anything in the automotive line is more expensive but quality is the same and sometimes the chemistry is as well. For instance: I use PPG CRE epoxy. PPG VR2050 primer in their Vibrance line is the same thing but more expensive.

Just scuff it with a grey scotchbrite if outside the window. No need to wetsand. More work.

I've shot Essential satin (approx 30% gloss). You'll be fine. I'd post pics but appearnce can change with lighting and screen representation.

I have a PPG black deck with various gloss levels, and they have a ratio sheet for each line. I use their commercial line (AUE LG 360) and that is the correct sheen. Black Concept price has increased dramatically, as have all Deltron prices. I try to offer and provide customers with a less expensive product with the same quality, even though it's their coin to spend. Not all jobbers sell the commercial line.

Restoration / Re: 1969 Cowl Hood Spring

I'm going to assume the hinges were checked for any play with the springs removed. At one point I had a dozen in stock and all had some play to varying degrees at some or all pivot points. Now down to a couple pair as backup.

I've had original heater cores and radiators done by Glen-Ray. If you go aftermarket, at the very least have the necks resoldered. Many times they leak or are not positioned corrrectly. A good local radiator shop can recore a Harrison. I found one in my area. You could ask at Team Camaro what repro one is decent. Some had good luck with Rock Auto. I might have a couple Harrison cores left in stock I don't need. That's why I saved them from parted out cars. Glen Ray may even have some.

Call Wiilie. He's the person I've had do dozens of hinges for all makes and models. He may have the pair of springs I recently sold him, or others he has in stock.I may have another pair somewhere else but it will be a while before I get them and/or remember. https://www.hoodhingerepair.com/about/

Cool pic. Vinyl roof, deluxe interior with mag slots. Whats the thing hanging off the front bumper? Tow bar mount?
Yup. When trailer queens were unheard of and people built, drove and sat on their cars. Some still do thankfully.

Cowl induction or flat hood springs are easily obtained. I had a surplus and sold some to my hinge restorer. I still have some I think. SS springs can be purchased new. In fact, he supplies SS springs when he rebuilds hinges but I did not need them so I sent them back.

Among the numerous issues, what did the blind butcher do to the quarter to rocker seam?
