If it were me, I'd remove the power brake booster and master cylinder in order to have good access in order to separate the bulkhead connector and check/clean everything as needed.  You could easily have other terminal corrosion issues that need to be dealt with.

PB and MC do not need to be removed. I can reach in there and pull off the connectors. I'd also check all the wiring, including the feed at the juncion block behind the battery.

All the sleeves I've seen and owned were plastic and tapered on the ends. Joint heat welded together. I can maybe post a pic.

I've replaced the lower bearing with the upgraded one. Ground Up and others have it.

20 or so years ago in Ohio I looked at a 68 BB Rallye Green with black deluxe. Came with a 66 Chevelle BB motor. No paperwork, no tranny and not worth it to me. Decent car needing a resto. Seller figured I would not drive home with an empty trailer. Wrong.

The thread is not closed. The OP in question wrote that title, and he keeps changing the title many times to add to confusion.

Matching a 69 color chip won't matter when trying match a newer and different paint system. Hues vary by the spectrometer and paint brands. Metamerism is also a factor. You'll learn all this after years in collision and restoration. Tried two of my jobbers for an Olds color and one was very close as opposed to the other. The color library sometimes has formulas on file your jobber will not. Again, decades in the business helps a tiny bit.

Thinner glass ,moldings don't fit tight to glass is what I heard.

Glass and moldings fit fine. Just use a thicker bead of urethane. Never had an issue. I've used Auto City Glass and had no problems.

How did Steve's 67 survivor end up with a rear spoiler? That 67 with the tow bars has a stripe that is wrong.

I answered this on the other site. Cronar is discontinued and the toners are different for modern paints anyway. Pick your paint company, get some paint mixed and do a sprayout to achieve a match.
