We do t really allow posts like this.

It will be hard to find without a VIN.

Good luck.

Did you see that the body build on this car is 08E ? August is the 8th month.

There was a slow spin-up with the first 1968 LOS cars built in early/mid August. There are no production numbers for August.

Quote from: David K on May 04, 2026, 12:18:23 PMSince I'm now more interested, would it be correct to say there no definite way to confirm it is a 1st day build, but just an early vin?

It's definitely not a first day, not even the first week.

Yes - or it might have been a demo or used by a salesman.

Body build 08E - but not sold until April.

Rare still intact first edition 1968 POP book.

The whole CRG team contributed to the overall final product. It was a good example of how the core group can work together.

Not going to discuss here in an open forum. Scammers are everywhere and they can read just like everyone else.

Fake tags are getting harder to spot because of all of the data being gathered.

I was a college educator for over a dozen years but I don't feel like teaching people everything.

It's sometimes hard to follow but the VIN listed for each month is the LAST reported VIN of that month. Some months fit better than others.

Originality / Re: COPO Car

Blocks were being restamped in the 80s, and earlier.

A COPO would not have a 3.31 BS coded axle. 1969 COPO 427 Camaros received BE coded axles.

Most people miss this, but it's important.
