None of the 5 rims have a # before the 29 and one of them the 2 in 29 fell into the hole.

I have a set of 5 all dated the same K1 8 valve stem hole 29 XG. Seems like I'm missing a #. Is 8 the year or the month ?

The actual Pace cars had earlier vins and were built before the Jenkin's car. They came off the assembly line as L78 4 speed cars and then went to engineering to be modified for the race as evidenced by the engineering paperwork. The Jenkin's car is probably the 3rd or 4th L78 Camaro built.

What I was told was this dealer did not deal in high performance cars and were worried that if the buyer that ordered did not come back from the military they would be stuck with a car they couldn't sell so they probably didn't have much in the way of XT wheel cars on the lot.

My car is a 09B but has Rally Wheels on the Window sticker. The XT wheels that I believe came on the car new are all dated 8-17. 8-17 would be a pretty good match for a 09B car.

He absolutely says that. If August 68 Rally Wheels are out there it would lend credence to your theory which is why I am asking for any examples.
