The car is a '68 and the metal bar that goes across the top of the seat with two end caps is called what? I'm trying to find the end caps and having a hell of time. The picture is for reference.

I have looked over the site information and tried to search the forum but couldn't find what I was looking to find. I was wondering an approximate date range for a block if the numbers matching transmission is a P8D27 date code? 05A '68. Anyone have original drivetrain to put a ballpark timeframe on it? I'm sure it's not a set date due to factory operations, delivery times, SNAFUs at times, etc. Thanks for everyone time and input in advance.

Would an 05A Norwood car be able to make it to Sanford, FL and into a newspaper add by 23May1968? I know there are a bunch of unknowns with the travel itself. I guess I should ask if it's possible or is that too far fetched?

Hey everyone! Just another story of tracking down the previous owner of my fathers 68 z28 bought in Winter Haven back in 1984. He was in the Navy when he bought it from a guy who blew up the original 302 and put a big block chevelle motor in hit. He had it at a drag strip often and my dad can't remember the guys name or how to track him down. I've read about all the issues about trying to track previous owners down through the DMV since 1994. Any advice or help would be great
