i have a 3rd week march 68 rs ssl35 with power drum brakes iwas thinking xn would be the correct wheel but meet a guy at the auto fair in charlotte that said xns were late 68 early 69 wheel.
my car had 3 fws and one xn when i bought it trying to go with the correct wheels.

vin 124378N473229 was last registered to a brad miller in raleigh nc in 1998 .talked with brad and he said he sold it to a jason friebus  but didnt believe the car to be a z28 he said it was a british green 327 3 speed but without this block he wouldnt know.the block and car came from raleigh nc.brad did say he purchased the car from the original owner

where to buy the correct cables for my car are the negative and positive supposed to be black? the guy i bought the car from changed it to side posts with a new style battery and i want to change it back to original. and also searched the forums did anybody ever come up with a solution to the r59 repo batteries?ps my car was a 3rd week of march built norwood car if this helps

on a 68 rsss l35 car should it have a camaro emblem 3916654 on the front header panel? my car has a repaint and i think the fools replaced the factory header panel. but the emblem is on the deck lid where it is supposed to be.

how far back do the stripes go back on the doors ?both of my 68s have repaints so i dont know where the factory ones should stop .my buddy dug a 68 out of a junk yard that has been sitting for about 30 yrs and his stopped 28 inches from the front of the door gap.1of of my 68 has the stripe almost the entire lenght of the door and the other stops at the the door handle.

i know they were 2 designs 1 without braces and 1 with the braces. my ? is when in 68 did they start using the braces and do they have the same part#s 3943249?

what are the parts #s for the bezels and the lights?

an april 16 built MO 302 waht water pump should be on the thing?  i have been told that a 3859326 is correct .but i was on lucas restorations web site and they had pics of a june  68 rs z28 tore done from top to bottom and the pump that was on that car was 3839175 .any ideas what the difference is?

why does the thing weigh 3859 lbs. a 1967 chevelle ss 396 weighs 3800 lbs and has a 115 inch wheel basei thought with cars being made out of aluminum and plastic  would be light.where is the weight coming from in new cars.i weighed my 68 rsss 396 car the other day and it weighed 3444 lbs and its made of real metal.and also the new camaro has an all aluminum engine why is the car so heavy ?and why did chevrolet change the wheel base to 112 from 108?if the new camaro had the same wheelbase and weight as the 1st gens the thing would be unstoppible as far as performance. i guess chevrolet cant let a camaro outrun the corvette is the only answer i could come up with.any thoughts or opinions ?
