Anyone know where you can still buy Valvoline 80/90 GL-4 gear oil.I can only find GL-5 and have been told it has sulpher in it which is hard on the brass syncros

I am looking too buy an open car btrailer as I do not have a large enough truck to tow an enclosed. What is the best all aluminum trailer out there. Also is a tilt bed recommended over using ramps .Thanks Paul

Anyone ever used a 20 by 8 foot enclosed hauler for a first gen car. I am looking at replacing my open trailer.I hear 8.5 foot wide is the best but I have a chance at a good deal on a 8 footer. Thanks

I just acquired a 68 Z28. The car has all smog equipment intact and also the couple had a cowl plenum that came off another car they had but is long gone. Would it be best to install the smog equip. or go with the cowl plenum. Car is pretty correct otherwise. Thanks for any thoughts.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is best to clean off rust that has accumulated on my serial number pad of my 302 . I had the motor rebuilt 2 years ago and brought it home and left it on an engine stand since because of family issues. The engine has formed rust on the engine pad as the block was left untouched for 24  months. I guess I should have put some oil on the bare area before it was stored away I do not want to harm this area as it is the born with 302 for my 68 Z. Any ideas,Thanks 

Does a 1968 Z28 cowl plenum base have one or two crank case vent hose attachments or just one like on the open element breathers

Were the smog tubes on a cowl plenum car the same as the smog tubes used on a open breather car?

I have a 68 camaro that was brought up from the states into Canada 7 years ago.I found out the fellow that brought the car into Canada did not have all the export paperwork done. I have the car in my name but the problem is the original title was never with the car just a photocopy. Customs says without the original title from 1968 the export papers cannot be processed. Any thoughts.

Anyone have a good picture of the exhaust hanger that supports the chambered pipe just before it goes up and over the rear axle. Not sure were this hanger bolts to the car. Thanks

Does anyone know if the tail pipes on a 68 z were slash cut on an angle were the exhaust exits the system?

When a cowl plenum was purchased did the screws to attach the duct to the firewall come in the package also. I have seen different types of screws used. What is correct. thanks as always.

Anyone know the thread size for a smog fitting on a 68 Z. I need to run a tap through to clean up my thread to put smog tubes in.

Will a 1969 chambered exhaust system work on a 68 car? Does anyone make the correct turn down tailpipes for the chambered systems. I know it was never available from the factory but I enjoy my Z for what it was meant for. Thanks

How do you remove the ignition switch on a 68 camaro. All dash lights will come on with key but when I turn to start  the lights go off and starter does not turn over. Also the door buzzer works with the key removed with door open

I have tried to set the timing on my 68 z at 4 BTC but the car will not run. I put the timing to 9-10 BTC and the car runs great,also total timing is at 32 at 2900 rpm . Any ideas why it will not run at the recommended 4BTC   

Does anyone have a picture of John Z vacuum setup. My 302 is running alright and I was wondering about doing Johns setup on the car. Do I need to do any other changes when I do the vacuum setup John suggests

I have been degreasing a 302 that is in a car I dragged home in January. Let me know what you think of the numbers as maybe or maybe not being original to the car.Car is a 02D car 678 block with casting A88 ,carb is a holley 4053 dated 705 ,alt. 1100814 dated 8B12 ,it does have correct crank but rusty,dist.1111266 dated7G20 heads are 3917291 dated L 12 7. Oh ya engine is tighter than any motor I have tried to unc  Thanksease

What rocker arms did 302 engines have 1.5 or 1.6 ?

I went by a local GM dealership today that is closing and was able to buy the 1967-1976 camaro master parts book along with the 1971-76 Vega parts book. I paid 20 dollars for the pair of them. Try out the dealerships that are closing in your area if you would like a set.
