i posted last week asking about how to lube a speedo cable and the help here was great. I pulled the cable out of the housing from the top and lubed it completely.  i just buttoned it up and went for a ride.  I am still getting the same racket.  it is not one hundred % of the time  and seems to be mostly between 20 and 50 MPH. when the speedo is making noise the needle is jumping up and down, when the speedo is quiet the needle is smooth and works properly.  any ideas

whats the best way to lube a speedo cable?   i have heard you can pull out the inner part , lube it and put it back. is this true?  can it be pulled out from ther trans or does it have to come out from the top?  any help would be great, right now i am getting an annoying amount of noise coming from the cable. thanks in advance

are original T-3s for a 69 camaro dated?   are there any markings or numbers that indicate they came from a car other then a camaro? thanks

anyone know where and how to install an over flow hose  clip on a 69 big block radiator. I already broke one and working on my second.  a picture would be great.  thanks in advance

anybody have the info on the battery cables for a very late 69 camaro. what are the numbers marked on the cables?  also my car is a 396/375  and has top post cables  built 10E of 69.  possible??

sorry for all the questions, is there any positive way to identify an original 69 camaro trunk weatherstrip?  anybody have a pic?  just in case any one know where to get one and what I should expect to pay?  thanks

what type plating  was original from the factory for the trunk latch.  i know the top part in the deck lid is body color how about the bottom?    thanks in advance again

i have what may be a few  dumb questions, on a 1969 Big block SS with a full size sphare:

is the sphare wheel a  YJ?

is it painted just like the ones on the car?

would the tire in the trunk exactly match those on the car?

on a 69 L78 camaro, do they all call for 2 piece rotors? or is there a cut off date where 1 piece rotors  became standard on the car??

a friend has a pair of two piece rotors that he took of of a 69 chevelle years ago. the hubs are in great shape but the disks are shot. I have 2 questions , are these the same exact parts that were used on a 69 camaro? and if so does anyone know where to get the disks?  thanks in advance

i have a 69 L78 4 speed car with a straight neck radiator. I believe the radiator is a 3 row. the core (with out tanks) measures 23" across by 1 3/4 " in width.  the tanks are original with the original tags and date. of course at some time the core was replaced. my questions are
                       1) is  a 3 row core correct?
                       2) are the measurements correct?

       what i am getting at is: I want to have the original style top and bottom channels installed on the core and I want to do it the right the first time. 

                        1) anyone know where to buy the channels?
                        2) how about a good radiator shop to do the job?

hows everybody? I have a question.  are these correct for a 69 camaro?  I have 2 69s and both have much larger door bumpers. my question is do I have 8 repops or are these not for a 69?  thanks in advance

ok guys, i am installing a new ACC  carpet  in my 69 camaro. the front bracket for the console is bolted thru the floor, looks like its impossible to get at with out taking out the trans. whats the trick to the new install? what can I do besides going crazy taking out that bracket?  I know one of you guys must have a trick. thanks in advance.

I have another of  my many dumb questions.   i have a NOS posi sticker I want to install on my 69. does anyone know what glue to use that would work best??  anyone know the proper procedure, if there is one?  i have read that at times not the best of care was taken in the gluing process.  thanks

ok guys i am confused. i have a 69 camaro with a 723 midnight  green standard interior. should the carpet color be dark green, dark olive green, or were both avaliable??  ACC  carpets offers  dk green, dk olive green and moss green. and if you look in the various parts house books you will really go crazy.   any thoughts?? thanks in advance

 although there are a few types of repop carpet sills out there, i have a question about 2 of them. the type in question are the ones made with the rivits in place for a 1969  camaro. Ground up sells them with aluminum color rivits and i have also seen them with black rivits. the ones with black actually look like they were painted right along with the body by fisher embelm. which is correct?? thanks in advance

sorry guys i need help again,  who makes a dead on rear ebrake cable.  i am looking at ricks and ground up which both state that they are exact reproductions,( they are both the same)  then i go to in-line tubes web site and look at theirs. they are exactly the same as the other two except theirs has like a 4 inch rubber boot over the cable sort of in the middle.  Guess what? they claim theirs are exactly like the factory. does anyone know for sure before I make my purchase??  thank you

i am still trying to figure out my radiator probelm, maybe someone here can help. the radiator on my 69 L-78 car has its original tanks and tags however it was recored. it now has the wrong channels running along the top and bottom of the core. this is what I would like to correct.  HEARTBEAT CITY  sells WHAT THEY SAY ARE  the correct channels which are 2 3/4 inches by 23. my core is only 2 inches wide. i guess my questions are :

1. how wide is the core on a 3 core radiator?
2. how wide is the core on a 4 core radiator?
3. did someone just recore mine with a 2 core?

4. if anyone out there has an original 3 core with the original channels, are the channels flush with the core or do they hang over each side to make up the extra 3/4 inch?

5. do i maybe just need a whole new core??

funny thing, both of my 69 camaros ( one a small blk and one a bb)  have 4 radiaor mounting points. the 2 on the pass side are just bolts that screw into the radiator support. on the driver side both cars use bolts with nuts and washers.  Is this correct? and if not what is??  also if anyone knows the size and type of bolts, nuts, washers to use?  thank in advance

PS  anyone have original radiator core top and bottom channels, 23 inches L x 2/3/4  W??

sorry guys one more question:  would the core channels be the same width on a 3 core and a 4 core radiator?

hi, i have 2 309 master cylinders for 69 camaros. on the driver side under the front clip that holds on the top, one has a round stamping ( looks like a zero with lines thru it) and then a D2, and the other is the same with a D3. anyone know what D2 and D3 mean?? thanks in advance

does anyone happen to know the correct casting number for the side cover of a m-21  trans on a 69 396/ 375 camaro.  i hear it ends in 306. i am looking for the complete number thanks
