Is there suppose to be measureable dc one volt onto 8ohm spkr using ecg121 as direct subst for factory transistor called ds-503. ?

Is it an AM radio - 91APB1 ? 

Do you have any soldering experience and want to see if you can fix it yourself?

Mine hadn't worked for 37 years.  I replaced the dried out electrolytic capacitors and it fired right up.  Sam's photofacts has the schematic.

The germanium transistor ds-503 tests okay in the b&k transistor tester but leakage appears dangerously present. So I ebay'd sylvania ecg121 replcmnt, hasn't arrived yet. Anyone recognize ds-503 leakage as an inherent design flaw thus requiring periodic replcmnt? It runs full throttle called class A regardless of music demand
