Restoration / hood to top header panel gaps
March 12, 2016, 12:32:41 PM
I have a 67 rs/ss 350. the gaps on both sides and rear of hood(cowl panel) are nicely aligned. the gap on the front of the hood to the top header panel is different from the passenger and drivers side. drivers side is a nice gap of 3/16 but passage side is 3/8. I have seen many Camaros with the same problem. is this normal? if not how do I align it. the  fenders to doors/doors to qtr all look good.

Originality / 1967 compressor vacuum electric switch
November 18, 2015, 11:56:29 PM
my april built 67 Camaro with factory a/c has a "compressor vacuum electric switch". the part turns on the compressor clutch. I rebuilt it with a new rubber backing and seems to work well.
my question is why would gm use a vacuum electric switch? does the vacuum or lack thereof cycle the clutch. I know when the quad-a-jet goes "WOT" you lose vacuum. so u have vacuum at low rpms or cruse rpms. on acceleration low vacuum thus turning off clutch.

anyone have or know where I could purchase a/c tube for the expansion valve 3878598. this tube should use a size 8 hose and have a female connection. this part is displayed in the 67 Camaro aim manual at c60 d1 page 213

grommet is org and great shape, #8 is repop, hoses are repop, most of clamps are org, poa brackets org, poa is org and has the correct part nbr and Julian date for car. poa was rebuilt/calibrated for 134. I do not have #9 or #10. I was planning to use an extra fender clip for the heater hose that I had laying around. thx

I spend have my life in the aim!  it does not show that level of detail.  it gets fuzzy at the bumper/ frame extension. the hoses have to go above or below.

Originality / 67 windsheild wiper motor
February 02, 2015, 01:51:27 PM
I have a 67 rs/ss 350. my wiper motor is part 5045508 type E. black with a yellow stamp of "199 66". I assume the "199" is mid July Julien date of 1966. my car was born 1st week of April 1967. my question is:  could this be the original motor made 10 months before the car? if so then it is worth rebuilding/restoring.

Originality / routing of a/c hoses
February 02, 2015, 01:42:25 PM
I have a 67 rs/ss 350 with factory a/c. when routing the a/c hoses to the condenser, do the hoses go "over or under" the frame extension then into the grommet in the fender.  well. thx
