Here is a resource for those desiring further info:

I did not recognize a mention of the few blue top cars produced.

According to my 73 Delco catalog, 1111440 distributor received D1382 Vacuum Control.

I've got 3885149 for 67.

Comments were against tag in book.  Tag in photo has good info.

The trim tag supports pace car colors.  Build date is too early for pace car.  The earliest recorded builds were late March.  Missing additional PC info also.

Pictures from the speedway in 67 do have at least one (or more) non-SS cars present.  The folks at Camaropacecars.com would love to hear from you.

Kurt, I can't recall if the engine was original.  I was supposed to buy it so I didn't need to document it.

Check this website.  I don't think you want a black tail!

Pace car is real.  I almost bought but the current owner beat me to it years ago.

The 67 SS Grille emblem started life with "350" below the SS.  In mid 67 when the SS396 was released, the "350" was removed from the emblem leaving only SS.  In so doing, the bottom of the mid-year 67 SS emblem was flat, not cut out between the SS as the one shown.  I have included a photo showing the two different versions with the second version on top (note flat bottom) and the original below.

The 67 assembly manual in the L48 section shows the original emblem number as 3893844 replaced by 3916610.  No grille emblem number is specified under any of the 396 sections.  The service part numbers in the 67 parts manual are 3907916 for 350 and 3918871 for 396.  Interesting it is noted as different for the two engines instead of early and late.  The 68 parts manual lists only the second number for use on 67 Camaros.  For 68 models the part number changed to 3919194.  The service part number included the backing plate causing the difference in service and assembly line numbers.

I found no six digit part number listing for a Camaro grille emblem (Group 1.303) in any of my parts manuals.  I did find an Ebay listing for a part number 331707 claiming it to be a 69 grille emblem.  The number in the parts book for the two 60 emblems is not that number.

I located contact info for Steve Powell.  I could not find any on Classic Radiator Restorations.  Contact info would be appreciated as I am looking at restoring a 67 rabiator.

Another interesting tidbit, the Signal-Stat 170 and 175 have a number stamped into the side.  The 144s do not.  The picture below is the 170 unit with an S 406.  I thought these might be date codes (the 175s are S 127 and S 247) but knowing the build date of the harness with the 170 and having 406 doesn't make sense for a build date.

This harness is from a car I have owned since 1977.  It is an 04A built Norwood car Signal-Stat 170 and Tung Sol 552 installed.

Here is another harness I removed from a parts car in the late 70s or early 80s.  Also had Signal-Stat 175 and 144 installed.
