(Don't want to steal this thread) Are those new GM springs in a zinc phosphate (silver), or in the manganese phosphate (dark gray)?

I too have the "driver remote outside mirror" option, but not the original GM mirror.  My re pop looks the same as yours. There is one small difference - the mirror does not stay adjusted. Close the door, and the mirror goes back to a neutral center setting. Hit a small bump, it returns to neutral. 'Have tried three different re pop mirrors (all different brands) and all will not hold adjustment. If yours stays adjusted, I'd say it's original. 'Not sure if there is GM identification if you remove the assembly.

What is Colvin's CBTN?  I have a couple '63 Corvette distributors and several 1111249 Camaro 327-275 hp distributors.  They all have the green spray painted stripe, and I'd like a little more information on it. Thanks!

Without having to "scuff the clear" to pinstripe, I take it that you're finished upon removing the stencil or when finished free handing.  That's excellent news knowing that three more coats of clear are not needed over the pin striping.

If using a stencil, do you wait until the striping paint is dry (to remove stencil), or do you remove the stencil when the paint is "green"?
Any problems with buffing, without clear over the pinstripe?

You provide decades worth of experience in your posts.  Thanks for sharing your expertise with novices such as I.

I found pinstriping stencils at Finesse Pinstriping, stencil F22 for our '67 Camaro's.  Stencil F22 has an additional third stripe, but that can easily be omitted during layout.  The F22 stencil has a 1/16" stripe, an 1/8" gap, and a 3/32" stripe, an 1/8"gap, and a 1/16" stripe that isn't needed.  That is very close to the original .060" stripe, .100" gap, and .100" stripe.  Just thought I'd let anyone know who is considering a Z21 stripe in their restoration.

Maroman  - yes, the 126.5/8" would be the length of the stripe.  I should have searched and got my facts correct, rather than trying to remember (which can be vague at best, sometimes).

On page Z21 A1 (in the AIM) the start of the Z21 pinstripe is -48.437 from the firewall, unless you had the SS/RS option, where the start of the Z21 stripe would be -44.125" from the firewall to allow for the bumble bee stripe.  On page UPC 11-13 B8 of the AIM, it shows the fire wall as being reference "0.00" for measurements.  Every time I open the AIM, I learn something new!

Were you able to locate a source for the 1/16", 1/8" space, and 3/32" pin striping stencil (all three dimensions in one roll)?  I've searched and can't find anything.  Free handing those stripes or free handing two separate stencils and making them exactly parallel is beyond my abilities.

I believe that the 126.625" is from the datum line (aka: firewall)  As I remember, there is also a datum line reference number for the ending of the front fender stripe.

That's what makes me wonder if there were different casting numbers for different models.

Was there a specific casting mold number used on '67 A6 Camaro compressors (rear backing plate)?  Different casting molds for different GM models?  I have a 6555302 casting dated (H 16 6) (August) and a 6556406 casting dated (K 27 6) (November).  My build is 11B.  I know the 406 casting is beyond my build date, but here are two compressors within a couple months of each other, with different casting back plate numbers.  Also as a note, the front castings only have casting dates.  The AIM calls for a model number 6550133 (which was just a sticker on an A6).

There is ample documentation of engine block and head casting numbers, but I'm searching for correctness in compressors. Also, were the 1966 compressor castings used for early 1967 model vehicles, just as the 1966 engine castings were used for the early '67 models?

I should have been a little more specific.  Thanks for pointing that out.  The factory speakers were the same for A/C or non A/C cars (10 ohm).  The AFTERMARKET replacement speakers (4 ohm) have much larger magnets to handle today's much more powerful radios.  The AFTERMARKET a/c speakers (also 4 ohm) have smaller magnets as to not physically interfere with the a/c control unit, making them less able to handle as much power.
