Does anyone have any experience with Allen's stainless chambered exhaust? Was just curious how the fit and sound was. Thanks.

No Yenko did you use base clear to reproduce the overspray? It looks fantastic I would like to reproduce the overspray on my floor just not sure how to go about it.

If your chambered exhaust is a Gardner I would be interested in buying it if you wanted to sell it.

Just Feel them or can you catch your finger nail on the edge of the stripe? (The finger nail test is the test judges use when scoring for points)
***If the stripes and color were cleared together then you probably can't catch your finger nail on the stripe edge,  which will lead to a point deduction.
Current accepted practice for original cars is to single stage(I use Dupont Chroma One) the stripes (over the clear) which is as close to assembly line as most people are going after.

Can you still polish the stripes if they are on top of the body color? Just worried about painting them like that and getting a dust spot.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Check out this Trim Tag

The X66 big block in question is located about 1 mile from my house and I run into this car at local cruise events. The car is a Canadian documented 396 however I have never looked close enough at the car to verify any numbers. It is an older repaint with some flaws and the interior is far from perfect.  It is a nice cruise night car and not a show car. Seems a bit on the high side for price but that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the pic. Does anyone know how long this bolt is suppose to be? Mine seems too short.

Originality / Original battery hold down bolt
June 01, 2013, 08:54:02 AM
Could someone please help me by posting a picture of a correct battery hold down bolt. When I purchased my 69 Z28 it was missing the battery hold down and bolt. I purchased an original gm battery hold down and an amk under hood detailing kit which includes the battery hold down bolt. The bolt in the kit seems to be too short. I purchased a sealed R59 battery and I cannot seem to get this bolt to work. Thanks for the help.
