Yes. You wouldn't want to accidentally hit the power top switch at 60 mph!!!!

It sounds like you have the relays crossed for the power top and the power windows. The power top should only work when the key is off and not work when the key is on

Gary, is your Astro Ventilation glass tinted??

Are you having the "Astro Ventilation" script done?? ESC advertise using a white ceramic paint like original. I would be interested to see how it would turn out

Maintenance / Re: electrical issue with console gauges

There should be a ground wire from the console harness that attaches the console gauges steel mounting plate. Than there should be a ground wire that attaches both mounting plates together

Garage Talk / 1969 Corvette LT2
October 12, 2023, 10:22:31 PM
I just recently read about this prototype corvette. A ZL-1 inspired 454 putting out 588 hp @6400 and 542 ft / lbs at 4800. Turbo 400 with 4000 stall converter. Doing neutral drops from 7000 rpm ran best time of 10.60 @ 132 mph at GM proving grounds in 1969. A gentleman named Dave Miller recreated that particular car. The articles are from Motor Trend.

Restoration / Re: ESC Automotive Concepts date coded glass

Are you overall happy with the windshield? Besides the thickness are the logos and scripts close to original? What caught my eye was the white ceramic Astro Ventilation script. I had purchased some glass for my car and I was not impressed with the script and logo. And they etched the Astro ventilation which was barely noticeable. Thickness of glass was OK

Restoration / ESC Automotive Concepts date coded glass

Has anyone purchased glass from this company? They say they offer the correct logos and print styles but also do the Astro Ventilation script in white ceramic like original.

Do the rear side marker lights come on when the taillights come on? I would think that they would be spliced together with the taillights. I think it's the brake lights that are coming on. If you disconnected the turn signal switch and the problem went away I would check the brake lights. The taillights don't go through the turn signal switch. You did have the  brake booster out so maybe the brake switch got out of adjustment when you reassembled it. Disconnect the brake switch and see if the rear lights come on

I have the same issue. Fuel odour and wife complaining!!! I have an L78 and it has done that for years. Car runs great and have no issues.  I would lean towards what JohnZ said earlier. I always tell my wife that we won't have to worry about mice in the garage

Originality / 68 BB fuel line clip
February 21, 2023, 03:25:15 PM
I have a question regarding the BB fuel line clip that is mounted on the pass side frame rail below the heater box. Is it riveted or bolted on? In the AIM UPC 8 B3 it shows it as being bolted on but the picture on UPC L35 A8 it looks like the riveted clip. I have found a discussion here on the forum where someone said that only BB cars had the riveted clip.

What is the purpose of these springs? I never installed them because the tension on the springs was so strong that I could not get them on so I left them off.  My headlight covers work fine without them

Is that the car that R English owned at one time? I thought I remember seeing it on display at Motororama in Toronto years ago.
The display sign referred to it as "The Great Pumpkin"
