Now it says it has "very rare rear sway bar"

Asked questions about this car and instead of being open and honest told me off.

Here is why I questioned the car:

"Its a true Super Sport and had a 375hp 396, 4 speed, holley, 12 bolt, protecto plate is included." Cowl tag shows X11 and could not have been a big block. When I asked to clarify and send photos of paperwork told to go buy another car.  stay away and document in database.


Seller finally did send POP tag and it is a fake.

Funny the salesman at the consignment shop had to ask what was wrong with it.

Trim tag is an incorrect stamp. So bad it is not even funny.

Pointed it out to the consignment shop and they did not give a flip. I live less than a mile from this place. Any buyers needing inspection let me know.

The D80 spoiler is the only factory option available on the rear deck lid. Any other type of "wing" was not factory.

Nice score and one of my favorite colors too.

I believe it's stock, it's aged just like the rest of the engine bay. My main concern is the tire sticker. I can't tell if it's stock or not, but it has the 7.35x14 tires and AG, unlike SS cars which came with AH. If that were the original sticker, does that mean the car is not an SS? I feel it odd that one little sticker would disprove a whole car, especially since this car came stock with a Muncie like an SS. Thanks!

The M20 4 spd is one of the transmissions available on the non SS L30 327. The tire sticker with that tire size 7.35X14 were only found on the non SS LF7 and L30 327's. M20, multi rear leafs, and rear break line regulator are a strong indicator that the L30 327 is what you have. However the BB heater box and hood springs indicate otherwise and is throwing me off??

Someone mentioned before what is the exhaust and trans crossmember?

 SS should have leaf.  

Correct for all SS, but so did the non SS L30 327 if it was ordered with the M20 so not exactly a definite clue ruling out all non SS 100% entirely. Same with the rear brake line regulator valve.

based on the information you provided you definitely have a BB heater core. ? is it original to the car?

Is there any way to tell if my intake has a cross over without removing the carb? I know I have a riser valve but I have no idea if it works or has been modified?

Make sure you pay attention to the well plugs on the bottom of the bowl. Old well plug gasket material is still stuck on these; either clean/inspect and make sure you use a kit with the replacement gasket, or remove the soft plugs, drill, tap and plug the bottom of the wells to prevent gas leaking  back out out of the carb into the engine. To me, that's always been the worst design feature of the Quadrajets - otherwise, they are great carbs, easy to work on and last forever.

Anyway to fix the well plugs without drilling or removing the carb and rebuilding it?
