I have the opportunity to buy a "good" condition Saginaw 4 spd for my COPO restoration but am pretty sure the COPO cars only came with Muncies (unless you got an auto), is that correct?

My VIN plate saddle/bracket/backing plate, or whatever you want to call it is trashed, where can I find a new one?

I am restoring a 69 RS Camaro and have come across a Casting and date code correct 427 so I have decided to make a COPO RS clone car.

Can anyone recommend any good books as it relates to markings, equipment, etc??

I just learned today that the 427 does not have a return fuel line and I'm sure there's a ton of other stuff I'm not aware of.

Good advise on the OEM, now I just need to decide between the mosier multileaf set up or the Heidts 4 link, either one is approx $4K

I restoring a 69 RS car back to a semi-pro touring set up and am torn on where to go with my rear end.  I currently have a Heidts front clip w/ tubular control arms, disc brakes, etc... Anyway I WAS going to purchase a complete 4link posi set up for the rear of the car but am now having second thoughts and may just go back with the original 12 bolt multi leaf and disc brakes.

Here are my questions:

1. Does anyone have a good reliable source for a period correct 12 bolt?
2. Can I use a 12 bolt out of a 70-73 camaro or any other GM cars without having to butcher the axle housing?
3. Am I wasting my time and since I've already givin up the originality of the suspension just go with the 4 link?

Kinda what I figured.
I've got a picture/diagram of how it mounts in my Factory Assembly manual, but do you know were I can find actual pictures of it?

I'm restoring a 69 that had the dash panel replaced, somewhere along the line someone lost the cradle that hold the Vin tag.  Does anyone know where I can get another cradle to hold the plate, besides off another car that is.
