69Z28-RS,

I do appreciate your reply and pictures. I got three pictures, one showing the two columns side by side, one showing the base and coupler. and one showing the middle of the column. I really need a picture of the key area of an original steering column, showing the raised word "lock" and its relationship to the key itself.
By the way, do you still have the old tilt column ?

General Discussion / correct steering column bowl
March 17, 2009, 12:06:16 PM
Howdy,

Can anybody e-mail me a picture of the correct version of the word "lock" on a "69 Z-28 tilt steering column bowl. The non-tilt I have now has the word "lock" on a raised boss, with the word actually pointing at the key lock, rather than being printed along side. The raised boss has a pointed end at the key lock, and a squared off opposite end.

Thanks,
Dan

Looking for upper bowl for a floor shift tilt column, the one with the key and turn signal handle, for a 1969 Camaro Z-28 resto project. Has to have the correct "lock"  embossing. Lock embossing is similar to an arrow, pointing at the key cyuinder.

Thanks,
Dan

General Discussion / spark plug wires

Not sure on the correct way to run the spark plug wires on my 1969 Z-28. Any help or pictures?
Seen many variations, I'm sure there is only one correct way.

Thanks

on a 1969 Z-28, on the trunk lid, should the striping go under the "Camaro by Chevrolet" insignia, or around it? I've seen it both ways. In the "Origional Camaro 1967-1969" book, it shows that the stripe should go around the insignia, so the insignia is totally on the body color.

General Discussion / 1969 glass

Just wondering what the correct etching should be on original glass. My 1969 Z-28 has on the windshield, Safe-Ray Safe-Lite Laminated. The other 5 glasses have Safe-Plate Tempered.
Original, or not?

Thanks
