68 Ragtop is 100% correct, plan on both inner & outer rockers, floor etc.. at a minimum on a project like this. I ended up replacing more metal than I left on the car, but IMHO its still worth saving if you can & like doing the work yourself..

As for the 67 Camaro, yes its defiantly worth saving. I bought a similar condition 69 a year or so back and brought it back to life here at home paint & all. lol.. Its far from perfect but still a bunch of fun to drive..

I may know where there are some 14" keystones..  My wife bought a set for a car she had as a kid that migrated to father in laws 65 GTO many years ago & I think they are still around somewhere. Now as to the condition??  let me do some looking.

That is terrible, it's always been on my bucket list to do the Power tour in my 68 SSRS 396. After owning it almost 40 years, if it were stolen it would devastate me regardless what the insurance pay out would be. 

That is awesome! I tried the craigs list thing several years ago hoping to find any info on my 68 SSRS 396 but came up empty. 

 I found one in the defrost dust of my 68 SSRS 396 when I tore it down to do the resto years ago.

I have a couple of sets of 186 heads. I will check look at the dates & see what I have this week.

Very nice looking car. I tried to buy a yellow/yellow 69 SSRS similar to yours years ago in Santa fe NM.  The car was sitting out side his home and you could see it from the freeway. I left a note on the windshield asking if he would like to sell it and continued the 150 miles home. A couple of days later, he called me and said yes he would take10k for it.  I grabbed some cash and my trailer and hauled @ss the 2.5 hours to go pick it up, I had always wanted a Yellow Houndstooth car & thought it would be the perfect book end to my Daytona Yellow 69 Z.  When I got there he wouldn't answer the door or his phone even though it was obvious he was home. I sat outside that flakes house about 2 hours trying to get in touch with him. I finally drove off and went to a gas station about 2 minutes form his house and tried calling again and this time he answered right away. When I told him who I was. he made up some BS story about just getting home & I asked to come get the car. He said he didn't have time right now, even though he knew I drove all that way. I told him I was only 2 minutes from his house and asked if I could at least come get a closer look at the car? He agreed and let me come look. He originally told me on the phone it was a #'s car but when I got there it mysteriously had a engine swap. lol.. It was a little ruff but I really wanted the car, had cash in hand and en empty trailer but the guy just wouldn't sell it to me. He told me I needed to come back another day. All I can figure is, sometime after hanging up the phone with me originally when he told me he wanted 10k I guess changed his mind about selling it?? I can understand that, but a simple phone call would have been nice to let me know before I made the trip. Some people... 

I found these on ebay & ordered a set for my 68 Project last weekend. I havent received them yet but at the price, I couldn't hardly pass them up & figured they are worth the risk. They have a 4"backspacing instead of the 4.25 but I think they will be just fine on this non pedigree car.  Good used GM rally wheels are getting much harder to come by in my neck of the woods and on ebay the prices are getting pretty steep.

I'm pretty sure the 335 & 390 horse have the same compression, intake, heads etc.. so the only difference I see is in the cam shaft.

There is a pretty big difference between the two cams, I dont know if its 55 horse worth, but I guess anythings possible..
