While on topic of build dates and lack of pad stamps, a question...I have a 69 Z with VO0425DZ and a 05A build date on Trim tab..Engine block is 04/18/69..with 010 block. I have a FRONT pad VIN stamp of 9 N637827(for the database). I looked very closely at oil filter site and cannot see ANY signs of sanding, machining, etc and, no #'s.
Has anyone ever heard of mid-69 front pad stamps? Is it at least possible this is the matching engine?(always thought it was till Team Camaro advised on Norwood stamping changeover)
