Thanks guys for the info.  I compared the caps to some 30 yr old caps. Turns out one of them had part # written inside. Checked the weight and there were only 1-2 grams difference.
I believe these are original GM counter parts.
Cap on right is purchased cap.

I recently purchased a set of 3890679 poverty caps. Bought them as an NOS set. They have the GM part number written in marker on inside, they were not in gm boxes. Does anyone know if this was standard practice or give any advice on how to differentiate original from reproductions.

I wasn't confident enough to say for certain. Thought it could be 506 also.

Thanks Clete for reply. So I guess another way to distinguish the difference is Chevelles used a buckle on the 1952 front shoulder harness, while Camaros used the insert. ?

Yes, I checked the CRG link first thing. It shows TBD for rear shoulder belt. Reading some of the other post makes me think rear shoulder belts.

Since we're on the topic of seat belts. My research is not coming up with a # 1902
69 Camaro (716- Blue) Deluxe Seat belts. 2-1952 - Front Lap, 1-1914 - Front shoulder, 2-1902 shown with small buckle. Is this rear shoulder belts...?. Dated early 69. (34th wk, 68). Would like to determine RPO for this set. The only cover I have, had both a 1952 and 1902 together if that helps.

Yes, I had looked at that report prior to posting, and the reason I questioned the length.
I never thought of it being cut off. Good catch. I will compare it to some other belts.

 Thank you in advance.  I have a Std interior, black seat belt, w/buckle that shows a model# 277. Dated 28th wk of 68. Researching CRG I thought it was a front shoulder harness for coupe, but length of belt measures approx. 21". Would this be a rear shoulder belt or maybe for a convertible?  Any assistance is appreciated.

I have came across a piston/rod combo, that I would like to learn more about. They are a 5.7 sm. journal BRC rod, 4"bore piston using single ring and single lock on piston pin. Only markings on pistons are casting of 51010 on inside. Supposedly they are road racing 302. that have been packed away for years.
Compression distance measures closer to 350 piston or possibly a 6" rod 302....? not the 5.7 with them
Curious if anyone remembers this, or a similar combo used in any first or second gen. LT1 trans am racing.
