please dont ask - what I did og how... but after pulling wires apart og put the together the light door now works perfect ;-)

Now I will atend the right one - it has never worked and I have a new motor for it.

Just check voltage through the wire.  You should have voltage one way and not the other.

With light and/or ignition on or off ??

First 2 things that come to mind is either you have a grounding problem or the diode could be bad from the wire going to the ignition switch.

Groundproblem has been on my mind - but where to look, on the ignictionswitch ?? where is the diode located ?

I am pulling my hair - or at least the rest of it...... :-(


My left headlight door has allways worked - until a few mounths ago, where I had to remove the complete tacho gauge cluster in the dash, and I cant say NO to that I have been messing around with the wires on and behinde the light switch - could that be the case ??

The door opens nicely when I turn on the light - but it do not close again when I turn off the light. If i manuel try to close the door, and let go, it opens again ( when the light is on )

I have been checking the 2 limit switces that they work when to button is pushed.

Anyone? please chip in ;-)

I am back - and I know its been a while, sorry :-((

I have benchtested the new right motor - it Works
I have tested the power in the harnes to the motor - it Works
but it still do not open and close :-((

If the light is on I can easely move the door back and forward.

On the left door: if the light is on and I manual close the door, it automatecly opens Again.

Any idea where I must look now on the right and left side lightdoor ??

I´ll look into it in the weekend - Would it be okey to remove the headlight bulbs and messure power directly in the connectors to the headlight door motor ?

1 lead from the motor to pos.        ( 12v supply, battery)
1 lead from motor to neg.

There are 2 wires right ? batteri pos to one and batteri neg to the other ?? does it matter which one ??

This is my right headligt door.

The left one stoped working this week after I have been working under the dash :-((.. isn´t there any wires I should check there ? and where ?

I think, my hideaway headlight motor is dead - how do I benchtest it ?

It was the missing ground wire. I straighten the metal piece out and made sure the center screw went thru it

I have had the complete speedo unit out of the car, and tonight when I should put it back in something fishie happened :-(

If I installe the unit and tighten the screws etc, and pull the headlight switch the instrument ligt dont work - but the high beam, and the L / R indicater lights.

If I loose the screws and let the cluster unit drop 1/4" everything works fine

I have had it out many times now, and cant figure out why and were things go wrong - any help ??

Thanks for you input guys - however I have spotted the problem now ;-)

I have a new ignition switch installed ½ year ago, now I have checked the starter and solenoid - they work fine. I can hear the starter relay clicking when cranking the car.

I couldnt get power to the purple wire on the starter, so I followed the wires back in the car - removed half the instruments panels etc for checking alle the terminals etc, and everything looke fine !?!?

so after pulling my hear all day I accedently discovered the the wireloop didnt bring power to both purple wires, and I did a new wire loop between the 2 purple and the cars starts perfect :-))))

I have ordered a new neutral switch, so tomorrow EVERYTHING goes back, AND I am a hole lot weiser in how things work and look from the backside of the dashboard ;-)

What would be the point of shorten the circut permanent ??

The loop is on the wireharnes end - if I disconnect the wires from the neutral switch, should it allso start then?

I am trying to truble shoot why it wont start... and after a while it starts a few times, and then it dont again.

Where should I look ? and how do a look ??

I think I have a bad neutral switch - but how can I tell for sure if it is bad or okey ??

The car starts most time, but now it will not start - nothing happens :-(

Any idea what that loop wire is for? and why it is there ?
