What is the correct air cleaner for the 396-325 Pace car? I have seen open element and snorkel cleaners.

I also just bought an original 67 RS-SS that was all original down to the radiator cap and distributor cap. The base on the air cleaner has those holes in it also. I thought the previous owner did it but now that you mention it the holes look like they were not drilled but came that way. You have me wondering now! Hurry up and post that picture. Thanks, Jim
