I have a 69SS with a 255hp 350. (interior code 714, paint code 76 B) The motor appears to be original to the car. The car has not been restored. A friend with several first gen cars told me that he once read that a small number of SS350 cars used the 255hp motor. The car was assembled in the 5th week of August. I am unable to read the partial VIN by the oil filter. Eventually I will pull the engine as I restore the car and then will know for sure. Does anyone have any information on this? Thanks in advance.
