I have a 67 ssrs which is mostly original, including the engine 350/295.  My exhaust system is wrong and I want to replace it with an original style (transverse muffler) system.  Any comments on brands, fit, quality of aftermarket exhausts would be appreciated.  I don't want anything too loud, nor anything too quiet (I know these are subjective).  I have heard D&R and Walker sell good replacements.

Originality / 67 SSRS 350 shocks?
July 01, 2006, 06:20:30 PM
I have a 67 SSRS 350 with no AC.  What type of shocks would have come with this car?  I was given boxes of NOS KYB gas-a-just shocks, but I think spiral shocks (like for sale by Ricks) would be more original.  Any thoughts or input on how to be as original as possible appreciated.

Restoration / Instrument housing color
June 13, 2006, 01:10:04 PM
The instrument housing on my 67 is a very dark gray plastic with chrome trim.  The rest of the dash area and interior is black.  I have seen them like this, but also have seen instrument housings that are black.  Which is correct?  I am getting ready to redo part of the dash area and want this to be correct.

Restoration / 1967 Washer Pump
February 20, 2006, 11:09:46 PM
I am in the process of restoring my 1967 Camaro SS/RS and need help with the washer pump.  Apparently, the 67 used a different washer pump than the 68-69.  All of the replacements I find online are modeled after the 68-69, which won't fit a 67 wiper motor (besides the fact that it would be the wrong pump for the year).  Any thoughts on where to find one or where to get it rebuilt?
