Is there a succession plan? I think a lot of us are getting older and I wonder what happens when.....

What do the plugs look like? Too much fuel at idle will cause all kind of headaches. Plugs will be carbon black, will foul prematurely. I was thinking bad power valves, but you replaced them. Power valve is basically a switch turning on and off additional fuel under power. If the power valve diaphragm is ruptured, that additional fuel will be added all the time which would cause excessive fuel at idle. The diaphragms can be damaged by backfiring. High Vacuum at idle holds the power valve/switch closed. Just some ideas.

Several years ago Jerry told me that he was working on a new edition of the 69 version. Wonder if he's still planning on one?

The front seats look strange to me. Are those 69 standard interior?

My 10B 68 RS/Z does not have them. I figured there were removed before I bought the car.

I am not a fan of Hoopers books. I bought the 67-73 Data book and it has a number of issues.  1 page in the "69 section shows the blue "GM" stickers inside the door jamb that should not be there.  Right next to that photo is a photo of an incorrectly painted (all silver) spare tire rim.  I could go on.  Hard to get it right with a reference like that.

Not defending anyone, but that reference book is 30+ years old?. A lot of information has been uncovered/changed over the years. When I purchased my 69 Z in 1982, other than the DZ engine code, very little info existed like it does today. And a lot that has been published has turned out to be incorrect. I know because there have been several instances where what was published conflicted with my car. In each case my car was correct and what had been published was later revised. So it's an evolution of sorts.

So how should I describe my Z28 with the Z22 RPO that has the X3 wax marking on the bulkhead?
Am I not to say its a x33 code car?

All RS cars were X33; Not all X33 cars were RS.

If I was trying to fake I wouldn't leave finger print marks on the putty. Just sayin.

I am asking about a Norwood car. For a Norwood Camaro, weren't the rear deck lid stripes painted on the Fisher side? I have seen a video of a Z/28 with the rear stripes taped off in the trunk lip area similar to what was done in the front cowl area on the Chevrolet side. I was wondering if the stripe paint was the original applied to the car or a repaint? Car was claimed to be all original paint.

When rear deck stripes were required and applied to the Camaro by Fisher, was this done with the deck lid open or closed? I would think closed? If true there wouldn't be a taped off area for the stripes in the trunk lip area like there is for the stripes in the front cowl area.

Where is the cable stamped? Can I see it easily? Pretty sure mine is original.
