You nailed the detail. I still have most of my models from the '60's. Have you ever looked at papermodelforum.com ?  Those guys are nuts for detail in paper. I have seen some models that look real from about 10 feet.

I like this style of hubcap. That was the original cap on my '67. They are identical to '63 SS caps except the black ring. I have found a few at Hershey fall show.

How about we just call it the Most Impressive thread? I am amazed at the before and after pictures. It's hard to believe the lettering and detail that shows up undisturbed from your method. I wish I had your patience.

I think the combo with being Tahoe Turquoise makes it pretty rare.
